CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) Preparation + Test
Canine Good Citizen, an AKC title, teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. The 10-step Canine Good Citizen test is a non-competitive test for all dogs, including purebreds and mixed breeds.

About the event
Upon mastering the requisite skills, passing the CGC test together, and taking the Responsible Dog Ownership pledge, you and your pup will join the proud ranks of over 1 million dogs who have earned their Canine Good Citizen award- an AKC title and an accomplishment that's definitely worthy of extra belly rubs!
The CGC title is a prerequisite for many therapy dog groups.
Some homeowner's insurance companies are encouraging CGC testing, and an increasing number of apartment rentals and condos require that resident dogs pass the CGC test.
This class provides training, test prep and administers the CGC test.
Please note, that although completion of our Basic Obedience course is not a requirement, your dog must know basic sit and down commands.
